Former Intern, less than 1 year
Pros
got to meet cool people and make connections
Cons
Most of the work was picking up lunches, etc. Starting at 9:00am to 7:00pm. So for the hours and minimal "learning" we did this should of been paid.

Pros
PA experience was a plus.
Cons
They do not pay interns.

Former Intern, less than 1 year
Pros
I met Will Ferrell, which was cool. When the interns are released after the semester, there are very brief opportunities to do the same thing I was doing for free but get paid $14/hr for a week or so.
Cons
- Funny or Die does not meet any of the legal requirements for unpaid internships. If the primary beneficiary of an upaid internship is meant to be the intern, then Funny or Die's intern program is a joke. - Interns are used as reception staff, janitors, production assistants, and executive assistants (I was Mike Farah's assistant one day, did not receive a cent). - It's a 10.5 hour day with no official lunch break. You're the first people there and the last to leave. - Opportunities for future full-time employment are dangled over your head but are not genuine. - I wrote content for the Funny or Die website and social media for free. - I was promised educational sit-downs with three executives but received none.

Former Employee, more than 3 years
Pros
the staff are great, projects are interesting
Cons
upper management is so disconnected from the staff, all of the cool stuff has been taken away from everyone, raises are few and far between, bonuses are small, a culture of fear and retaliation has set in

Pros
Funny or Die was a very fun company to work at, with fun topics, events and celebrity sightings.
Cons
No opportunities for growth and salaries overall were on the lower scale for a media/tech co.

Business Outlook
Pros
Location is good and they have a parking garage.
Cons
The bro culture is strong and they don't treat freelancers well. They moved us around a bunch to redecorate. They try to seem fun, but are not great to work for and don't treat people with any respect or loyalty.
